Our Origin

Some footprints last. The ones left on the moon by the Apollo astronauts will be there for millions of years. Others have a lasting effect in different ways. Our team at Moonprint Solutions was directly or indirectly trained by the incredible engineers & technicians of the International Latex Corporation (later ILC Dover) that designed and built the Apollo A7LB space suits that enabled astronauts to walk on the moon. The Apollo team used softgoods to create a flexible space suit with excellent mobility. The softgoods technology used in the Apollo spacesuits has since evolved from simple sewn and dipped components into high-performance inflatable and flexible products with embedded capabilities.   Softgoods today incorporate higher performance fibers and polymers, nanotechnology, smart materials, sensors, and other technologies​that allow us to do things that were not possible in the 1960's. The "Apollo guys" who taught us had an unrivaled passion for understanding and applying the technology, and that was instilled in everyone they worked with.

Moonprint Solutions is building upon what we learned in our previous professional experiences to fulfill needs identified by government agencies (DoD, NASA, DoE), and commercial entities.  We are honoring our teachers and mentors by continuing their legacy of developing innovative softgoods solutions for demanding applications. We are following in their footsteps (Moonprints).
